Preface: Oh man, I got excited that Grease was on only to find out what I am experiencing is not so much, "Cool! Grease is on!" as "Well, at least I got to watch the last 20 minutes of Grease." Seriously, it was "There Are Worse Things I Could Do", racing, carnival, "You're The One That I Want", "We Go Together", credits. Lame! Even lamer? Grease 2 is coming on next. I like to remember it as "good". I am sure watching it will render that memory false.

Oh goodness, it's "Score Tonight" , which I thought was called 'Bowl Tonight" I have not seen this in ages, so I don't recall much. I am pretty sure that I'm gonna mark out for "Cool Rider" though. Don't judge me.

So, it's been a while. "Hello!" and all that. Congratulations on everything... the birthdays, graduations, near-graduations, completions of freshman years, acceptances to college, trips abroad, safe returns, almost-done-with-grad-schools, breakups that got you away from people who suck, (There it is! "Cool Rider!" Umm.. it's kind of lame, but better than the rest so far.), marriages, LJ deletions (boo!) and everything else. I am sure I forgot something.

Thank mole for sparing you from scrolling past my post-NBA playoffs and Draft thoughts. Basically it's this: The Magic had a good run, those puppets sucked, I am all Kobe'd out, the draft was full of guys I had never heard of, it seems focusing on football was in Paulus' best interest, I hope Shaq + LeBron brings as much ego-clashing ridiculousness as Shaq + Kobe and I think that's about it.

"Do It For Our Country" has got to be one of the most terrible songs I have ever heard.

So, I went to that Pandora page that alice talked about a while back, and after only 15 minutes, I love it!

The first thing it played when I got there was "I'm Your Villain". How did it know? (It was probably just very random, but whatever, I dug it!) I don't know, but I knew right then that I had to sign up. Then it played some song called "Banquet" by Silent Alarm. I had never heard it before, but I could see why they chose it. It was very Franz-like. I think I am going to love this thing. I keep wanting to start new stations, but I have to listen to entire songs to see what comes next. So, I am awaiting the end of "Whole Lotta Love" to see what it leads to. I hope it's something that doesn't suck! (It doesn't! It's "Castles Made of Sand". ::makes mental not to add Jimi cd to case-I-actual-carry-around tomorrow. And then it played "Wish You Were Here". I've really been digging that one lately. But that is for another time.. a time when I am talking about how I have not really removed the blue "Echoes" disc from by CD player in about a week.)

It is something I had been looking for for ages. It takes songs you like and then plays other songs like it. Have you ever heard something random from someone you've never heard of before and been like "I need to find other songs just like that?" I do it all the time. But, it's hard to explain the untangible thing about a song that makes it "like" another one. It can be the instrumentation, or the mood or the way it sounds when you play it really loud. I don't know, I  I can't really explain what I'm trying to say, but I know what I mean. (Oh. "Fortunate Son"? Maybe not, Pandora, maybe not. I shall now move on to a new station. Guess The Who! "My Generation" leads off.. what will be next?)

Also: I am really mad that I stepped on my "A Quick One" Cd and now have no way to hear "Whiskey Man". Oh wait, I can get Pandora to play that? I wish I knew how to make those little text hearts here. (Though, not really, because then I'd have to secretly mock myself.) "It's Only Rock N Roll"! "The Ocean"! It's like this thing knows me! "Back In The USSR"? Time for a new station. Right bad though. I"m gonna be playing with this thing forever! Now, everybody go sign up and make stations that I can listen to!

Random Unrelated Fail: I just now realized John Edwards was no longer a Senator. In fact, he has not been since 2005. What? RIchard Burr replaced him. I vaguely remember him running for something (and now that I see he beat Erskine Bowls, I remember the election. But why did I totally lose the whole "they were running for Edwards' vacated seat" aspect of it?) Way to be out of the loop there, me.

So, here are the answers for that music meme from a few weeks ago... the whole "my favorite song my ___ is ___" thing. I was gonna say "there are no YouTube" videos here, but that would be false. (There are two) No 5000 videos this time, just links (both YouTube and otherwise) and lots of rambling. Same as usual. And now that I think I have rambled enough to move the post-cut text below icon level (that really bothers me when the icon placement causes the Important Stuff to be all misaligned like that) on with the show! Or something like that...
